Clutter-Free Countertops – Part 3

3. Create a Message Center

Kitchen countertops are often a target for loose papers – overloading with mail, calendars, lists and notes. A great way to avoid the clutter is to designate a small area as the kitchen message center. Check out the photos below for some inspiration.

Should your room have the space, a built-in desk installed to match your cabinets is a great addition to a new kitchen.

Think about installing a cork board to the back of a cabinet door.

Use chalkboard paint to inexpensively turn a wall surface into a chalk wall.

Finally, small cubbies can be installed beneath your cabinets as an easy way to organize loose papers in your kitchen.

Designing drawers differently, utilizing wall space and creating a message center are creative ways to organize kitchen clutter and showcase your beautiful countertops.
